A Study in Contrasts

I'd been in Chelsea for a couple of hours, making my way steadily from one gallery to the next, when I noticed two things at once: a one-person homeless encampment in the form of a tent wedged into the corner of some scaffolding. By itself, seeing homeless New Yorkers improvising with what's in front of them is not unusual, but what really got my attention was the real estate sign just overhead, advertising Model Residence Now Open, presumably on an upper floor with a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The jarring contrast really caught my eye.
