Gabriel de la Mora at Perrotin

Even as a longtime fan of Gabriel de la Mora's work, I wasn't expecting his last show to be as powerful & riveting as it turned out. Incorporating thousands of individual butterfly wings accumulated through his collaboration with an international network of butterfly conservancies, he created intricate geometric compositions of an almost impossible level of delicacy. An exhibition that hasn't diminished in memory during the months since it closed.
